privacy. This privacy policy statement informs our Subscribers of the privacy
practices employed in the provision of TrustFax’s products, services and
website.

TrustFax
Subscriber Agreement
This Privacy Policy statement supplements the practices and policies stated
within the TrustFax Subscriber Agreement. Please refer to this document for the
terms and conditions associated with your use of our services.
Subscription
Enrollment
When subscribing for services, Subscribers will be
required to provide certain information. The exact informational requirements
are set out in the relevant Subscriber Agreement. All information collected will be subject to the provisions of
this Privacy Statement.
Subscriber
consent
By using our Web site, Subscribers consent to the collection and use of this
information by TrustFax and its affiliates. If any subsequent changes are made
to our privacy policy, we will post those changes on the policy update page so
that Subscribers are always aware of what information is collected, how it is
used and under what circumstances it may be disclosed.
Anti-Spam
Policy
TrustFax does not employ the use of spam for propagating its product awareness
or special offers.
Informational
Collection and Use/ Sharing Information
TrustFax has
built its electronic service with your privacy and security in mind. TrustFax does not collect any information on Subscriber’s without
consent. The Subscriber chooses which data to share
with whom. All data relating to a Subscriber account is kept private and secure
within the TrustFax service. This Subscriber data is not shared with outside
parties accept as provided herein. As part of the service offerings,
Subscribers will be prompted for information when enrolling for services, downloading
a product or requesting further information. No information is collected about
a Subscriber if just browsing the website.
TrustFax will not disclose your personally identifiable information
to any third party without your consent, except in limited circumstances to our
business partners with whom we have established agreements that protect
consumer privacy. We may contact you about offers and opportunities our
business partners may have to offer. We may also contact you to conduct surveys
and gather feedback.
Choice
/ Opt out
Subscribers are given the opportunity to 'opt-out' of having information used
for purposes not directly related to the TrustFax service offering at the point
where the information is requested. For example, the application provides
Subscribers with an 'opt-out' mechanism so Subscribers that prefer not to
receive any marketing material, can request to have their email address kept
off of our lists.
If Subscribers
no longer wish to receive our newsletter or promotional materials from our
partners, they may opt-out of receiving these communications by emailing
TrustFax at webmaster@TrustFax.com.
Subscribers are
always notified when their information is being collected by any outside
parties. We do this so our Subscribers can make an informed choice as to
whether they should proceed with services that require an outside party, or
not.
Information
Beyond the Control of TrustFax
This TrustFax privacy policy does not extend to any information
that is inherent in the operation of the Internet, and therefore beyond the
control of TrustFax. The policy is not to be applied in any manner contrary to
applicable law or governmental regulation. TrustFax may disclose your
personally identifiable information if required to do so by law or in the
good-faith belief that such action is necessary to (1) conform to the
requirements of the law or comply with governmental orders, court orders, or
legal process served on TrustFax; (2) protect and defend the property or rights
of TrustFax, or the users of TrustFax products and services.
Information
Request
TrustFax provides the ability to request further information or ask questions
to the support team by displaying email links throughout the website. If a
Subscriber elects to use such links they may be requested to provide additional
information depending on the nature of the contact. Typically, such additional
information may include further contact details, and in the case of technical
support, additional information about the Subscriber’s PC configuration may be
required to aid a prompt a accurate response to the query.
Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on a computer's hard disk containing
information about the owner. TrustFax employs the use of cookies to help keep
track of your user profile and gauge success of internal marketing campaigns
and within the use of the referrer programs. Such cookies contain no personally
identifiable information. Our partners may also use cookies. TrustFax does not
exercise any access or control of such cookies.
Log
Files
TrustFax uses log files comprising of IP addresses,
operating system (i.e. Windows 98), browser software (i.e. Netscape
Communication) and other site usage data to analyze trends, administer the
site, track movements throughout the site, calculate the number of document and
file downloads, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP
addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
External
Links
The TrustFax website may contain links to external websites. TrustFax is not
responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. This privacy
statement applies solely to information collected by this website. TrustFax has
no control over the accuracy of information displayed by such websites.
Security
TrustFax takes every precaution to protect our Subscriber’s information. When
Subscribers submit sensitive information via the website, such information is
protected both online and off-line. Where sensitive information is required,
the transmission of information is encrypted and protected using Secure Sockets
Layer (SSL). This includes the submission of any payment information such as
credit card details.
TrustFax uses
SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online and do everything in our
power to protect user-information off-line. All of our Subscriber's
information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted
in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific
job (for example billing administration or the development team) are granted
access to personally identifiable information. Our employees must use
password-protected screen-savers when they leave their desk. When they return,
they must re-enter their password to re-gain access to Subscriber information.
Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy
practices. Every quarter, as well as any time new policies are added, our
employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on
privacy, and what they can do to ensure our Subscribers' information is
protected. The servers that we store personally identifiable information on are
kept in a secure environment.
Service
Updates
Established Subscribers will occasionally receive information on products,
services, special deals, and a newsletter. Out of respect for the privacy of
our Subscribers we present the option not to receive these types of
communications. We also send the user service announcement updates. Subscribers
are not able to unsubscribe from service announcements, which may contain
important security information about the service.
